Introduction
We hear this all the time, “God Has A Plan and A Purpose For Your Life”. This is my attempt to understand the meaning of the above statement and to share it with you. I can say that I was made by God, for intimate relationship with Him and that He is perfectly capable of using me, a sinner set free from the power and penalty of sin through the blood of Jesus Christ. I have had many opportunities given to me by the Lord to speak His Word and share my personal testimony of what He has given and done for me. When I was young, I could not have imagined the places that God would send me to share His word and faithfulness in my life. When I was young, I didn’t even think of living and going forth for Him. I wasn’t raised in a home where that was taught. When I was young, I don’t remember anyone saying to me, “God Has A Plan and A Purpose For Your Life”. Now that I am “older” (55 next month, if you are wondering), I find I am in a new season of life. I am at a place where I have been forced by circumstances to “Bloom Where I Am Planted”. How many of us have heard the statement “Bloom where you are planted”? My husband and I should be on a plane, at this very moment, to Egypt for ministry. But, my mother-in-law fell and broke her foot, and our employee (who takes care of our business when we are gone) has illness in her family. I’m not complaining. I don’t feel cheated because I’m not going to Egypt. This is just part of a “New Season” in our lives, and I am anticipating the revealing of “God’s Plan and Purpose” for my life in this season. This is not the first time something like this has happened this year. We have been seeking the Lord’s guidance all year for this “Season of Life”. The Holy Spirit has placed in my heart the desire to begin seeking this “Plan” and “Purpose” in its simplest form and from the beginning. This is a journal of my search for “God’s Plan and Purpose” for this season of my life. More to the point, what Is “God’s Purpose” for life and His “Plan” for me personally. I don’t think I can know His “Plan” for me personally until I understand what the “Purpose” of my life is as “A Daughter of The King”. One of my favorite quotes is, “Because I am a woman doesn’t make me a different kind of Christian, but because I am a Christian makes me a different kind of woman.” Quote by Elizabeth Elliott
I try to view my life like this: “I am not a human being having a spiritual experience on this earth, I am a spiritual being having a human experience on this earth” (eternal view). Quote by Unknown
Let’s do this first. Look up the definition of the word “Purpose”. Write the definition in your own words. Tomorrow I will give you my definition. Then we will begin to look to the scriptures for our revelation.
I believe, if you are reading this, you have landed here for a purpose. As Christian women, I believe that we are to share our lives with one another. This includes our lessons learned, our families, our ministries, our struggles and our victorys. Let’s share our testimonies throughout the world.
