God Has A Plan and A Purpose For Your Life: Day 2

Searching an online dictionary is like reading God’s Word, only in the respect that one word can lead you to places you had not “thought” of.   This is where the “Merriam-Webster” online dictionary lead me.  I’ll put it in quotes:

“Purpose: noun; meaning: 1. something that one hopes or intends to accomplish; 2. The action for which a person or thing is specially fitted or used or for which a thing exists. (see goal) Goal:noun; meaning: 1.  (same meaning as 1 above). (see role) Role: noun; meaning: (same meaning as 2 above).  Then I was led to the word “intention” (synonym for purpose): noun; meaning:  a determination, or resolve, to act in a certain way.  INTENTION implies little more than what one has in mind to do or bring about<as in announced his intention to marry>.  PURPOSE suggests a more settled determination<as in being successful was her purpose in life>.”  End Quote Merriam-Webster

That’s alot to swallow.  I think I was led to that word “intention” for a purpose! I have no intention of intending.   I am determined to set my heart toward ”God’s reason for my existence. Purpose: noun; meaning (in light of what I want to accomplish):  The ultimate thing accomplished or realized through an act(s) of obedience, dedication and/or determination. ”  End Quote PMM

Tomorrow we will begin to search the scriptures for “God’s  dedicated and determined Purpose”……

Read Jeremiah 29:1-14
