Daily Steps ~ How Much Salt Does The Recipe Call For?

How Much Salt Does The Recipe Call For?

“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”  Colossians 4:6

Ah, the culinary art of seasoning.  A pinch of salt…a dash of salt…..a quarter of a teaspoon of salt……maybe a whole teaspoon of salt…and maybe a half to full cup of salt.  Just the right amount!

1.  A whole teaspoon of “Devoting yourself to prayer”

2.  A pinch of “Being watchful and thankful”

3.  A dash of “Allowing God to open the door”

4.  A quarter of a teaspoon of “Proclaiming the message clearly”

5.  A half of a cup of “Wisdom to make the most of every opportunity”

6.  A Cup of “Grace”  (We want this one to be real flavorful, because we can’t make the recipe without it)

Adjust amounts to fit the need…..Sprinkle the salt of God’s grace and the message into your daily conversations.  Use the correct amount of wisdom so that the flavor does not push others away.  Just the right amount of salt will cause a thirst and desire for more of Jesus.  (see Colossians 4:2-5)
