2 Corinthians 1:3-4
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” NIV
The following is a portion of a comment I received from “my sissy” Kate. It is a perfect example of the Lord using our experiences in life to fulfill the “Purpose” and “Plan” he has ordained for us personally. (See Bible Study…God Has A Plan and A Purpose For Your Life). Kate was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago and today she is cancer FREE!
Quote…” I told you the other day how I see how you have grown over the years and as I read that post I thought to myself how I really am the only one left in our immediate family that can say that. God has sure changed me in the last year hasn’t he? I recently told my Sunday School class ladies as we were talking about fear and I said the one thing I have a fear of is cancer and God showed me I didn’t have to be afraid of it. Not that I am not still fearful like we talked yesterday, but he gave me strength to get through that and now I can help others through the same thing. God gave me the gift to work with children and now maybe he is giving me another gift to help those in another area. God is good!” End Quote
See…”my sissy” Kate GETS IT! She has been a comfort to many in the past year. It’s all about allowing God to use us where we are, and spending time with Him and His Word daily so that we are always prepared to do what He asks us to do. Do this and you will always be ready when He calls!!!!!!!!!!
