Daily Steps

Anyone who lives in the central part of the country understands what I mean when I say, “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring”.  We have had plenty of rain.  I for one could use a little sunshine.  As I sit here contemplating next week (the weatherman says the rain will stop, and we’ll have great weather next week), I am touched by the thought to be “THANKFUL” for the rain.

Here are some great quotes about the rain:

“The best thing one can do when it’s raining is to let it rain”.  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

“Rain! whose soft architectural hands have power to cut stones, and chisel to shapes of grandeur the very mountains”.  Henry Ward Beecher

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”  Rabindranath Tagore

“I am sure it is a great mistake always to know enough to go in when it rains.  One may keep snug and dry by such knowledge, but one misses a world of loveliness.”  Adeline Knapp

Those are pretty good, but this is my fav!

“Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp.

He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with “RAIN”

and makes grass grow on the hills.”

Psalms 147:7-8 NIV
