Intimately In God’s Care
“He who dwells in the Shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust.”
Psalm 91:1-2 ESV Study Bible
Think about what some of the words mean in this Psalm. If I dwell in the SHELTER (a place where He hides me from danger) of THE MOST HIGH (Hebrew word is Elyon; high above every other power), I will ABIDE (remain) in the SHADOW (under His wings) of THE ALMIGHTY (Hebrew word is Shadday; emphasizes God’s power). Lord, you are my REFUGE (place of security) and my FORTRESS (a place protecting me from attack), My God, in whom I TRUST (Hebrew word is Bajach; reliant upon).
El Elyon, I will dwell in Your place where you hide me from danger. El Shadday I will remain under Your wings. Lord you are my place of security and protection. In you, My God, I will rely upon. AMEN!
