About Us

Butterfly Bible Studies

One of my beliefs is that what God gives us, is not ours to keep.  We are to  share what we have, including what He has done for us and in our lives.  He gives each of us divine revelation and insight into The Word through the power of His Holy Spirit.  I believe that this revelation is meant to be shared as a praise and honor to Him, who gave it to us, and to encourage one another.  Butterfly Bible Studies is all about God’s amazing love, mercy, grace and forgiveness in my life.

The reason for the name, Butterfly Bible Studies is this:  It is fascinating and totally miraculous to me that God can take a creature like a caterpillar and transform it into a totally different creature (The Butterfly).  It is a complete metamorphosis.  The caterpillar liquefies inside the chrysalis, reorganizes and then turns into a butterfly.  I read recently that even after many years of research, all the details of this transformation, are not completely understood.  God does the same thing with us.  He transforms us into totally different creatures.  Roman 12:2 says, “…be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” It is a transformation from the inside out.  Who but God could transform our hearts from seeking self to a life of humility in Him.  We may not completely understand how He does this, but we know He does!

Butterfly Bible Studies is my way of giving away what God has given me, a reflection of my life and  my heart, and sharing the message of Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am married and I have four children and six grand-children. We are a Step-family, and have been together for 22 years as of June 3, 2011.  My husband, Ed, and I are self employed and we are Mission’s Directors at our Church. We have traveled to Northeast Asia, The Philippines, Haiti and Mexico on missions trips. We have taught Marriage Enrichment seminars in Missouri, Texas, New Mexico, North Carolina, Iowa, Georgia, Northeast Asia and Haiti.  We taught a Marriage Enrichment class in our Home Church for the first seven years of our marriage. We believe that God has truly blessed us and all that we have is a gift from Him. We believe that what we have is to be, at the very least, shared with others, including our testimonies of God’s grace and faithfulness in our lives. Our relationships with God, each other and our family are of the utmost importance to us. We believe God has called our family to love and care for children who need us. I have two biological grand-children, one step-grand-child, two adopted grand-children and one foster grand-child living in Asia whom we support prayerfully and financially and have had a personal relationship with. They are all precious gifts to us from God and we are crazy about them.

We believe that The Lord’s greatest commands for us are these:

“Love the Lord with All Your Heart and with All Your Soul and with All Your Mind.”  Matthew 22:37

“Love Your Neighbor as Yourself” – “Love One Another As I Have Loved You.”  Matthew 22:39 & John 13:34

“Go and Make Disciples of All Nations, Baptizing them in the Name of The Father and The Son and of The Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have Commanded You.”  Matthew 28:19-20

Go Out, in some way, and share the secure and transforming life you have in Jesus Christ!  Your life is a life worth sharing!
